Onomastic Workshop "Noble names: then and now"

With the second event in this semester on Wednesday, the 19th June 2013, the series of workshops on the Onomastic Research at the University of Leipzig are to be continued.

The theme is "Noble names: then and now" (in German !)

As a guest of the GfN we welcome Prof. Armin-Wolf von Reitzenstein from Munich.

Prof. Reitzenstein is a lecturer in Bavarian onomastics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich, publisher of the onomastic Bulletin for the Upper German names research

and co-editor of the book series devoted to Bavarian field names and micro-placenames.

His publications include, in particular, the "Lexicon of Bavarian place names" (2006) and the "Lexicon of Frankish place names" (2009).
