Fiontar & Scoil na Gaeilge, DCU, is organising a workshop on the topic of minor placenames (placenames other than administrative placenames and population centres). This workshop will be of interest to placenames researchers, to local history and heritage groups and to current or potential contributors to Meitheal Logainm.ie. Talks will be in either Irish or English. The workshop will include a dinner, a practical session on using Meitheal Logainm.ie, and a historical walking tour of the local area (Drumcondra), led by Séamas Ó Maitiú.

'Aithním an chré agus an chloch...'
Tá ceardlann á reáchtáil ag Fiontar & Scoil na Gaeilge, DCU, chun cúrsaí mionlogainmneacha (logainmneacha nach ainmneacha riaracháin ná ionaid daonra iad) a phlé. Beidh an cheardlann seo suimiúil do thaighdeoirí logainmníochta, do chumainn áitiúla oidhreachta agus staire agus do dhuine ar bith a bhíonn ag cur le Meitheal Logainm.ie. Beidh an cheardlann á reáchtáil trí Ghaeilge agus trí Bhéarla. I measc imeachtaí na ceardlainne beidh seisiún praiticiúil faoi úsáid Mheitheal Logainm.ie, dinnéar, agus turas treoraithe thart ar cheantar Dhroim Conrach le Séamas Ó Maitiú.
