Seminar "Los nombres proprios de persona: qué son y qué significan"

Yolanda Guillermina López Franco has a Bachelor's degree in Hispanic Language and Literature from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and a Master's and Doctor's degrees in Language Sciences from the University of Montpellier III, France. 

Since 1998, she is a member of "Sistema Nacional de Investigadores" (National System of Researchers) or SNI, governmental agency established in Mexico to promote both the quantity and quality of research in Mexico, especially in the sciences. She earned the University Distinctions for Young Academics (Distinción Universidad Nacional para Jóvenes Académicos) in 2004 and the Medalla Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz in 2017 (granted in recognition of the literary work of women in the Hispanic world)

She published works with emphasis on Socio-anthroponymy and Didactics. 

She is a member of the French Department of the Language Teaching Centre (UNAM) and she coordinated the "Seminário Permanente de Didáctica y Escritura Lúdico-Creativa" (2004-2018). Among her publications, the book "Un siglo de nombres de pila en Tlalnepantla de Baz. Estudio lexicológico y sociolingüístico", published by UNAM and Plaza y Valdés Editores (2010).
