Приглашаем вас принять участие в работе VII Международных ономастических чтений имени Е. С. Отина, которые пройдут
12–13 ноября 2021 г. на филологическом факультете Донецкого национального университета.

При неблагоприятном развитии эпидемиологической ситуации оргкомитет оставляет за собой право проведения мероприятий Чтений в дистанционном формате, о чём будут извещены участники, получившие приглашения на Чтения.

На заседаниях секций предполагается обсуждение следующих вопросов:

1. Теоретические вопросы ономастики и онимографии.
2. Актуальные вопросы исследования различных онимных единиц.
3. Региональная ономастика. Ономастическое краеведение.
4. Теоретические вопросы поэтонимологии (литературной ономастики).
5. Поэтика онимов в произведениях русских и зарубежных писателей и поэтов.
6. Актуальные проблемы поэтонимографии (лексикография собственных имен художественных произведений).

К участию приглашаются учёные-ономасты, лингвисты и литературоведы, аспиранты, магистранты. Форма участия: очная и заочная. Все доклады будут опубликованы на сайте Донецкой ономастической школы azbuka.in.ua с возможностью дискуссии в интернет-режиме.

Статьи участников Чтений, присланные в адрес оргкомитета и рекомендованные к печати, публикуются в научном журнале «Вестник Донецкого национального университета. Серия Д: Филология и психология» (ISSN 2616-8162). Статьи студентов-бакалавров и студентов-магистрантов публикуются только в соавторстве с научными руководителями.

Digital NORNA-föreläsning: 1/11 2021 Katrine Kehlet Bechsgaard

 Med syfte att hjälpas åt att rekrytera nya studenter och doktorander till namnforskningen i Norden kommer NORNA att arrangera en öppen zoomföreläsning som i första hand vänder sig till ovan nämnda målgrupp. I kommittén hoppas vi att alla medlemmar kan hjälpas åt att bjuda in studenter och andra intresserade (genom att förmedla länken till dem) samtidigt som NORNA-medlemmarna naturligtvis själva har möjighet att delta som åhörare vid föreläsningen. (Om konceptet blir välbesökt och uppskattat kommer det att kunna följas av liknande arrangemang i framtiden.)

Den 1/11 2021 kl. 15.15-17 (skandinavisk tid) kommer Katrine Kehlet Bechsgaard att föreläsa under rubriken "Your name? My name? Our name? On surname choices in families and their connection to family life and identity". För att nå så många studenter och blivande doktorander som möjligt kommer föreläsningen att vara på engelska den här gången.

Boris Parashkevov (1938-2021)

Boris Parashkevov, born in 1938 in Sofia, is Professor for Historical Grammar and History of the German language. He studied German Language and Literature and from 1964 to 1967 was a Ph.D. student at the University of Leipzig. After completing his studies he became an Associate Professor at the St. Clement of Ohrid University of Sofia, where he taught until 2005. He was also a Lecturer in Bulgarian at Helsinki University (1974-1978) and Guest Professor at the University of Delaware (1989). At the beginning of the Eighties he received a grant from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, which awarded him the AvH-Prize in 1994. Boris Parashkevov has translated well-known authors, including Johann Wolfgang Goethe, Martin Luther, Hans Jakob Christoph von Grimmelshausen and Rudolf Steiner. In 2005 he published a free adaptation of the Middle High German original of the Nibelungenlied.

Prof. Parashkevov’s scientific achievements are not only in his main scientific field – history and historical grammar of the German language, but also in the field of diachronic research related to the development of the German language, the study of German and other borrowings in the Bulgarian language. etymology, dialectology, word formation, lexicology, lexicography, transcription of German and other foreign names in the Bulgarian language, etc.

Prof. Parashkevov is the author of over 200 publications, printed at home and abroad as independent publications or in representative magazines and collections. Prof. Parashkevov’s versatility and depth of linguistic knowledge are most evident in his monographic studies and in the encyclopedic dictionaries of which he is the author.

 Prof. Parashkevov has made an outstanding contribution to the study of etymological doublets in Bulgarian and German with his monograph “Etymological doublets in Bulgarian” (1987) and “Lexicon of etymological doublets in German” (2004). Other valuable works of Prof. Parashkevov are “German elements in the speech of the Banat Bulgarians” (2007) “Vocabulary in the dictionary of the Bulgarian language” (2011), “Folk etymologies” (2013), “Bulgarian transcription of German names” (2015). ), “German vocabulary in the Bulgarian language” (2021) and others.

The International Geographical Union's 100th anniversary congress

Презентация "Топонимического словаря Чувашии"

В Национальной библиотеке Чувашии состоялась презентация книги И.С. Дубанова "Топонимический словарь Чувашии". Автор - учитель географии школы №38 г. Чебоксары, член РГО, заслуженный учитель Чувашской Республики. 

Книжная новинка - результат многолетних изысканий автора, полевых экспедиций, кропотливого анализа разнообразных источников. Поэтому таким объемным -  более 600 страниц, стало это издание. На встречу собрались друзья и коллеги автора, ученые, краеведы, учителя. Все они отметили важный вклад И.С. Дубанова в изучение и сохранение природы, истории и культуры Чувашии.

A VI Xornada de Onomástica Galega estará dedicada aos nomes dos lugares no Camiño de Santiago. O encontro, coorganizado pola Real Academia Galega, a Deputación de Pontevedra e o Museo de Pontevedra, achegará diversas contribucións arredor da toponimia do primeiro Itinerario Cultural Europeo cadrando coa celebración do Ano Santo Compostelán.

As persoas interesadas en inscribirse deberán seguir as indicacións que figuran no PROGRAMA.

Romance onomastics studies (1987-2017) by Prof. Ana Cano

Estudios d'onomástica románica (1987-2017) is scholar research of Ana María Cano González, Professor of Romance Philology, former President of the Academy of Asturian Language and Dean of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Uviéu. The presentation of that book in Septmeber 2021 was a tribute to the linguist on the occasion of her retirement.

Nun actu celebráu’l 10 de setiembre del 2021 nel Aula Magna de la Universidá d’Uviéu, presentóse’l llibru Llingua, tierra, nomes... Estudios d’onomástica románica (1987-2017), qu’axunta la xera investigadora, nesi terrén, de la catedrática de Filoloxía Románica, Ana María Cano González, que foi tamién presidenta de l’Academia de la Llingua Asturiana y decana de la Facultá de Filoloxía de la Universidá d’Uviéu. L’actu foi, el empar, un homenaxe a la llingüista con motivu de xubilase.

El llibru recueye 24 trabayos d’onomástica románica y asturiana, asoleyaos dende 1987 en diverses publicaciones especializaes, dalgunes d’accesu difícil pal públicu interesao. Xunto col entamador del proyectu, Dieter Kremer, y Jean Germain, Ana Cano forma parte de la dirección del proyectu internacional Patronymica Romanica (PatRom), de la Universidá de Tréveris (Alemaña), que redacta’l Dictionnaire historique de l'anthroponymie romane (PatRom), estudiu de nomes y apellíos del ámbitu románicu.

El volume Llingua, tierra, nomes…, coordináu por Claudia Elena Menéndez y Pilar Fidalgo, fai un percorríu per temes bien diversos: nomes personales, apellíos, topónimos, sufixos, nomatos, etcétera.

Crafts and trades in mid-18th century Rome toponymy

The toponymy shown in the map of Rome by Giambattista Nolli (1748) indicates many streets, alleys, squares named after crafts or trades.

The map records also several churches and oratories that carry reference to a craft or to a trade in their name. This paper illustrates their location, general nature, and syntax of these urban components and show that this lay-out is less casual than one would expect. Simple conjectures about if and how these data may carry information on the actual distribution of crafts and trades in late-baroque Rome are proposed.

1. Nolli’s map

1.1. Rome in the mid-18th century

The city represented in the map published by Giambattista Nolli in 1748 is probably the most beautiful and architecturally significant city of its time. It is the fabulous destination of the Grand Tour, the product of marvelous transformations of the medieval fabric during the Renaissance and especially during more than hundred years of the diffused transformations of Baroque and late-Baroque architecture and urban design. It is also a city that is becoming a true “capital” with important functional additions of not only extraordinary urban spaces (such as piazze and strade, especially from the papacy of Alexander VII Chigi (1655-67) on) but also high-ranking services and administrative buildings (harbors, granaries, educational, prisons, hospitals, theatres, custom houses, cemeteries).

Though at a slower pace than in other European cities undergoing the transformations deriving from major demographic and industrial changes, production and commerce activities kept concentrating in Rome’s urban fabric. Despite the presence of an ambitious infrastructural system made of roads and hydraulic network, starting with the late 16th century, after the papacy of Sixtus V Peretti (1585-90), Rome was being regenerated and densified rather than expanded. Between the late 16th century and the second half of the 19th century, when Rome became the administrative capital of the new Italian Kingdom, the overall layout of the city remained substantially the same.

Rome as it is represented in the Nolli map is still a city, a large one, made of traditional, mostly medieval fabric and patterns. Its mix of building types and intertwined coexistence of residential, administrative, service and production uses have made it a paradigm for present day urban designers. The map by Nolli is the first “scientific” map of Rome and its first ichnography, after many three-dimensional representations, since the publication of the coarse map by Bufalini of 1551. When compared with present maps and aero-photographs it proves to be surprisingly accurate in consideration of the date of its production.

Because of its figure-ground format as well as its being a cherished image of a pre-industrial city, the map of Rome by Nolli has been extraordinarily familiar, popular and fashionable among architects, at least for half a century. In 1978, it was the basis for the exhibition “Roma interrotta”:[1] a milestone in the recent history of architecture and urban design. The University of Oregon has produced a well-known website dedicated to it: possibly the most important on the subject worldwide.[2]

The map was the product of many years of surveys. It is a “package” made of three maps: a large one made of twelve plates, a small one in one plate and a reproduction and graphic update of the precedent map, made by Bufalini about two centuries before. The study in this paper is based on the findings in the large map which is the most detailed and copious of data.[3]

Анна Михина (1939-2021)

С прискорбием сообщаем, что 25 сентября 2021 г. на 83-ом году ушла из жизни ветеран филологического факультета Донецкого национального университета Анна (Людмила) Фёдоровна Михина.

За почти 45 лет работы в университете Анна Фёдоровна снискала искреннюю любовь и уважение коллег и студентов. Главными чертами этого удивительного человека была душевная щедрость, искреннее человеколюбие, которое выражалось в постоянном стремлении помочь ближнему.

Анна Фёдоровна профессионально владела чешским, польским и болгарским языками. Ею был разработан курс истории украинского языка, спецкурсы, в том числе по сравнительно-историческому языкознанию, которые она читала студентам разных специальностей.

А. Ф. Михина была активным участником Донецкой ономастической школы. Итогом фундаментальных исследований в области болгарской антропонимии стала её монография «Антропонимия болгарской диаспоры Северного Приазовья», изданная в 2014 г. в центре болгарской ономастики при университете имени Кирилла и Мефодия в г. Велико Тырново (Болгария).

Донецкая ономастическая школа глубоко скорбит в связи с невосполнимой потерей выдающегося учёного и прекрасного человека А. Ф. Михиной. Выражаем искренние соболезнования родным и близким.

Popularization of Galician toponymy by Galicia Nomeada

Ученые Тувинского госуниверситета с калмыцкими коллегами обсудили ономастику в повседневной культуре народов Центральной Азии

В Калмыцком научном центре Российской академии наук состоялся круглый стол на тему «Ономастика в повседневной культуре народов Центральной Азии (на примере Тувы и Калмыкии)». В мероприятии приняли участие ученые Тувинского государственного университета, Калмыцкого научного центра РАН, Калмыцкого государственного университета имени Б.Б. Городовикова.  

С приветственным словом выступили проректор по научной работе ТувГУ, канд. филол. наук Евгений Монгуш, директор Калмыцкого научного центра РАН, канд. филол. наук Виктория Куканова, директор Института калмыцкой филологии и востоковедения  Калмыцкого государственного университета им. Б. Б. Городовикова, к. филол. наук Мингиян Лиджиев, руководитель проекта гранта РФФИ 19-012-00073\19 по теме «Трансформационные процессы в ономастике народов Центральной Азии: история и современность (на примере Тувы, Тофаларии, Калмыкии и Монголии)» к.филол. наук. Надежда Сувандии. 

На заседании были заслушаны и обсуждены доклады канд. филол. наук Надежды Сувандии «Особенности лексико-семантических групп тувинских антропонимов»; канд. ист. наук Елены Айыжы «Имя наречение как часть обрядов жизненного цикла тувинцев России, Монголии и Китая»,  канд. филол. наук Любови Кара-оол «О происхождении тувинских топонимов»; д-ра филол. наук Михаила Монраева «Формирование и становление ономастической науки в Поволжье», канд. филол. наук Дарьи Гедеевой «Принципы номинации калмыцких топонимов». 

Мероприятие проходило в очной и дистанционной форме  и в нем приняли участие студенты, аспиранты, магистранты ТувГУ и КалмГУ. В ходе круглого стола состоялась очень интересная и содержательная дискуссия по проблемам современной ономастики Тувы и Калмыкии. Ученые пришли к мнению, что в перспективе нужно усилить работу по написанию совместных научных исследований по данной проблеме.

Onomastique Arthurienne

Actuellement Ana Donnard (Professeure associée à l'Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, Brésil) travaille sur l'onomastique arthurienne à partir du texte du Chronicon Briocence - première source pour l'Histoire de la Bretagne armoricaine. C'est une évidence le fait qu'elle s'appuit sur les recherches des grands experts - l'Onomastique étant un travail de toute une vie en Linguistique Historique à la croisé d'autres disciplines comme la Mythologie Comparée, l'Histoire des textes et l'Archaeologie, ce qui doit se traduire par un savoir érudit de grande ampleur. Il s'agit ici donc d'une étude et d'un travail de collecte d'une bibliographie concernant l'onomastique des noms arthuriens bretons, parfois oubliés dans la série des recherches universitaires. En même temps l'étude du contexte historique de la Chronique de Saint Brieuc - Chronicon Briocence - et des discussions des historiens à propos de l'autorité du texte pour une histoire de la Bretagne fait venir à la superficie un topos un peu oublié dernièrement - l'existence d'une source en vieux-breton dont se serait servi Geoffroi de Monmouth pour construire son oeuvre majeure - HISTORIA REGUM BRITANIA. L'histoire obscure de la Bretagne armoricaine, de ses rois et saints fondateurs font aussi objet de discussion puisque c'est l'horizon historique de notre corpus.

Etant donné que la Bretagne armoricaine et le mythe arthurien s'inscrivent dans le sillon des Etudes Celtiques, une approche critique du celtisme fait aussi objet de son étude. Les controverses sur les Celtes, depuis la Renaissance, font la difficulté de ce champ d'études ayant d'innombrables pièges. Celtomanie, Celticité, Celtoïde. Voilà trois mots pour faire valoir tout une entreprise périlleuse.

4 - 5:30 pm. Conference 'L’onomàstica de la Torre de l’Espanyol, l’inventari' (Onomastics in Torre de l'Espanyol: the Inventory).

Conference given by Sílvia Veà Vila.

Abstract: Producing onomastic inventories is an urgent task today. With the move away from tilling the land in favour of other work, oral transmission of placenames is stifled and most toponyms could disappear alongside the last people who harvest the local lands. For this reason, work needs to get underway to collect and commit to paper all information at risk of disappearing shortly if nothing is done. This information is not just related to a few names, but rather refers to our language, landscape, history, society, worldview and a long list of other diverse areas of knowledge.

Onomàstica de la Torre de l’Espanyol, winner of the first Ramon Amigó i Anglès Research Award (2016-2018), came from a desire to preserve toponyms and anthroponyms in towns and cities in Catalan-speaking regions.

This presentation will look at how to produce an onomastic inventory, the work that the Ramón Amigó i Anglès Research Award wishes to develop and some of the toponyms and anthroponyms collected in the town of Torre de l'Espanyol, in Ribera d'Ebre county.
