Josep Moran, 25 years at the head of the Onomastic Department

After 25 years of service as Director of the Department of Onomastics at the Institute for Catalan Studies, Josep Moran i Ocerinjauregui (1944) decided to resign from the post. Society of Onomastics expressed its deepest gratitude for all his works and service. 

The new director is Enric Ribes i Marí (1955), who was the President of the Commission of Onomastics. 

In his turn, Joan Peytaví i Deixona (1968), Director of the Franco-Catalan Cross-Border Institute, took charge of the Commission of Onomastics.
