National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth
7 October 2017
Having visited several parts of Wales over the last five years the Welsh Place-Name Society's Annual Conference returns to Aberystwyth. The resources of y Drwm at the National Library will be a great bonus.
The conference is held in partnership with the Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies, and we greatly appreciate their support once more.
We are grateful for the welcome and contribution of colleagues across Wales which has enabled the conference to visit Cardiff, Bangor, Swansea, Llanelwedd and Llysfasi. Members are always keen to invite us to their area and to accept the responsibility of part organizing the annual conference.
Our peripatetic policy has also given us an opportunity to support both formal and informal activity in the field of place-names on a regional and local level. This again would not have been possible without the enthusiastic support of our membership. We are very grateful for this. Many thanks to you all.
We look forward to welcoming you in October.
