The Gauteng Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, in partnership with the University of South Africa host a seminar on geographical names as part of South Africa’s living heritage.
The discussions of the seminar will explore how the names of our places carry the weight of history, identity, and memory for future generations, under the theme: "Geographical Names as Living Heritage: Preserving History, Identity and Memory for Future Generations."
