On Friday 15 October, at 6.00pm, the Institute for Name-Studies will hold its biennial lecture (online, via MS Teams) in honour of the late Professor Kenneth Cameron, Director of the English Place-Name Survey, 1966-93. This will be given by Dr Tania Styles (Senior Editor, Oxford English Dictionary); she will speak on ‘English Place Names and the Oxford English Dictionary: Surveying the Landscape’.
