Poland introduces revolutionary changes in name-giving law

As reported by the press, the Polish Ministry of Interior plans to introduce revolutionary changes in the Law on Civil Status Acts regulating the name-giving rules for the children. In order to meet the changing reality of the legislature they would like to extend the naming limits by the example of foreign names. It has been decided to abolish the rule which obliges to select the name clearly indicating the sex of a baby. What will be the social effects of liberalization in this matter, time will show. Has responsibility in such sensitive sphere as choosing a name for your child overcome the desire to impress your friends?
