The List of Historic Place Names - Four Years On!

The List of Historic Place Names - Four Years On!

by Dr James January-McCann

This talk will be a Welsh language event with simultaneous translation provided

Our Place Names Officer Dr James January-McCann looks back at the first four years of the List of Historic Place Names and discusses the work that's gone into it, and the effect it has had on the campaign to protect Wales' place name heritage. He will talk about the sources the names are taken from, and the way that the List is being used by Welsh Government, local authorities and other bodies to halt the loss of our historic Welsh names.

6 May, 2021, 5pm
