The Organizing Committee of the 27th International Congress of Onomastic Sciences - ICOS 2027 warmly invites scholars to submit paper abstracts for the upcoming congress in Vienna.
Paper proposals should be submitted through the official congress website:

There you will find all necessary instructions for preparing and submitting your proposal.
Please note that papers do not have to be assigned only to the sessions that have already been proposed. Contributions may also address any other onomastic topic not yet covered by the existing session list. Such proposals will be arranged into new sessions by the Organizing Committee.
The deadline for paper submissions is:
31 October 2026
The ICOS Congress 2027 will offer an important international platform for presenting current research in all areas of name studies, including personal names, place names, literary names, commercial names, digital onomastics, socio-onomastics, historical onomastics, and other related fields.
Researchers, doctoral students, and all colleagues working in onomastics are warmly encouraged to submit their abstracts and participate in this major scholarly event.
