Dear CSSN members and friends,
Please find attached the call for papers for the 60th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Society for the Study of Names (CSSN), to be held virtually from Saturday, June 6 to Sunday, June 7, 2026. The 2026 CSSN conference will not be held in conjunction with the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) of Canada and will take place entirely online.
The theme of the Conference is “Onomastics and Toponymy as reflections of our World”, but papers on any onomastic or toponymic topic are welcome. Presentations are allotted 20 minutes, with an additional 10 minutes for questions and discussion.

Chères et chers membres et amis de la SCO,
Veuillez trouver ci-joint l’appel à communication pour la 60e Réunion annuelle de la Société canadienne d’onomastique (SCO) en ligne, du samedi 6 juin au dimanche 7 juin 2026. Le congrès 2026 de la SCO ne se tiendra pas conjointement avec la Fédération des sciences humaines (FSH) du Canada et aura lieu entièrement en ligne.
Le thème de la Société canadienne d’onomastique pour ce congrès scientifique est « L’onomastique et la toponymie comme reflets de notre monde » ; toutefois, les communications sur tout autre sujet portant sur l’onomastique sont les bienvenues. Les communications d’une durée de 20 minutes seront suivies d’une période de 10 minutes accordée aux questions et à la discussion.
