The Southern African Linguistics and Applied Linguistics Society (SALALS) is set to host its annual conference from 25 to 27 June 2025 at Nelson Mandela University. This year's theme, "Traditions, transformations, and African thought: Imagining Linguistics in Africa for the 21st century," invites scholars and practitioners to delve into the rich tapestry of African linguistic heritage and its evolution in contemporary contexts.
